The Wildflower Bunch Garden Club (WFB) enjoyed a presentation in April titled “Growing Your Garden in Containers,” by garden divas Dalia Lavender and Claudia Kinder. Dalia and Claudia, owners of Fleur de Lis Containers, demonstrated the three basics of preparing a container: selection and placement of “a thriller, a filler, and a spiller” and shared hints for maintaining a container garden.

Event Chair John Lomax reported on the WFB Garden Tour scheduled for June 2 – 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets for the tour can be purchased for $10 at the May 3 WFB meeting, by submitting ticket request forms available at the Postal Facility in the holder below the WFB bulletin board, or by contacting Jean Lomax at JL2770@tds.net. Tickets will also be sold at each garden on the days of the tour (cash or checks – no credit cards).
The Wildflower Bunch May 3 meeting will feature gardening guru Walter Reeves, host of “The Lawn and Garden Show with Walter Reeves” Saturday mornings on WSB radio. He is also the author of nine books. On May 17 an Adventures & Opportunities trip to the Atlanta History Center to visit the Goizueta Gardens is planned, followed by lunch at Souper Jenny’s.
