The Bowen Center for the Arts is devoted to providing an exhibition space for local established artists and encouragement for budding artisans. In 2000, the building was renovated and rededicated as the Bowen Center. Today it is a beehive of artistic activity, featuring exhibitions, classes, and performing arts events
The Photography Club’s critique subject was “Spring Training.” Members displayed pictures of a grandson’s soccer practice, spring flowers, spring yard work, baseballs, and migrating birds.
The Photography Club meets at 9:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month in the Club Room on the lower level of the Clubhouse. We encourage all photographers, beginning and experienced, to attend. The May 13 meeting will feature Kurt Hoechstetter speaking on “Cell Phone Photography.” Visit the club’s website at www.bigcanoephotographers.weebly.com for information on meetings, membership, outings and exhibitions.
