As we move into the busy summer season, the team of volunteers at Maggie’s House (BCAR’s home for cats and kittens) is getting ready for the influx of new feline residents. Typically, springtime is the time of year when the greatest number of kittens are born. As flowers start to bloom and cats are roaming around more than usual, little bundles of joy follow soon thereafter.

Currently, Maggie’s House has seven residents (three adults, three kittens, and one older kitten), fewer than our peak of 23 last summer. We have volunteers coming three times a day to make sure the current residents are well cared for, happy, and are being loved in preparation for their forever homes.
Please stop by during our open houses every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and meet our current residents: Cider, Holly, Tenley, Molly, Maggie, Millie and Murray. We would love to have one of them find a place in your home and heart to make room for our expected summer residents.
