Patricia Stimmel, founder of the Plummer Cabin Group of Big Canoe, announced the kick-off of the Official Plummer Cabin Medallion Program with the first medallion presented to builder Dick Plummer last December 27.
Dick and his daughter Jean visited with Patricia, her family, and a few friends during his holiday visit to Atlanta to celebrate with his family. All the Plummers said it was fun coming back to Big Canoe and taking a walk down memory lane. Dick spent some time telling stories about his building days back in the ‘80s and it was quite impressive that he remembered so many details! Dick and his wife have a beautiful Plummer-built lakeside cabin in Wisconsin where he will proudly display his Plummer medallion. A video of the presentation is available on the Big Canoe Plummer Cabin Owners Facebook page.
More information about the Medallion Program is also on the Facebook site.
Any current owner of one of the 115 Plummer-built cabins can order a bronze medallion to display at their cabin entrance. These medallions proudly announce your cabin is an Official Plummer Cabin and will be available exclusively to current Plummer Cabin owners. An order form is available on the Facebook page with instructions about ordering and can be printed and mailed to process your order. Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive the medallion as each is special ordered. You may also contact Patricia Stimmel at pstimmel@windstream.net for more information about the group and the social events they have planned.
